Jamey Jasta called Supremacy an "all-out onslaught of completely adrenaline-charged, in-your-face brutality," and arguing with the Hatebreed vocalist seems unwise. The band came out of the Connecticut hardcore scene and put out records for Victory and Universal before signing to Roadrunner for this 2006 album, the first to feature guitarist Frank "3 Gun" Novinec. It reached #31 on the charts. Piledriving riffs are only part of it: Jasta's personal statement, printed on the insert, is unusually honest, and the lyrics ("Mind over All," "Supremacy of Self") follow the same line. Mike Milchner remastered the album at Sonic Vision for its U.S. vinyl debut, pressed on hazy green "up in smoke" wax limited to 500 copies.
