VARIANT. This version comes on Armageddon Red Vinyl LP.

Funkadelic put out Maggot Brain in 1971, and it remains the high point of their run. Critics and listeners missed the point early on; these days it sits among the most influential albums. The title cut rides Eddie Hazel's otherworldly guitar, while 'Can You Get To That' and the rest show how far funk, rock and psychedelia could stretch.

This 2026 reissue was mastered directly from analog tape. That keeps the original recordings' raw power, depth and atmosphere in fine detail. Long a holy grail for collectors, the album finally gets the fully analog treatment.
