The Los Angeles quartet untitled (halo) put out their self-titled debut, which landed October 30 via Dirty Hit. Trip-hop, shoegaze and art rock meet in the band's signature blend, and the record introduces the idea of "California Melancholia" — the emotional contradictions of growing up in Southern California, where idyllic landscapes sit alongside longing, disillusionment and a quiet search for connection. Ariana Mamnoon, Jack Dione, Jay Are and Nicholas Noneman built it from their shared chemistry, pulling from music, film, literature and visual art to shape one immersive world. Pitchfork, Pigeons & Planes, KCRW and Perfectly Imperfect picked it up early, with features in The FADER, Document Journal, Complex, Flaunt Magazine, Teen Vogue and Silknode.
