La Dispute came out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the post-hardcore group formed in 2004. Jordan Dreyer handles vocals, Chad Sterenberg and Corey Stroffolino play guitar, Brad Vander Lugt sits behind the drums and Adam Vass takes bass. Five studio albums have followed, among them "Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair" (2008), "Wildlife" (2011) and "Panorama" (2019). Linked stories about loss, grief and the tangle of human relationships run through the songs. Live, the band is powerful, and the crowd remembers it.
