Heavy airplay and MTV exposure pushed the singles “Brackish” and “Charlotte” into the spotlight, and KITTIE's debut Spit turned the band into a name. Ozzfest 2001 and the SnoCore Festival came next, alongside tours with Slipknot, Chevelle and Suicidal Tendencies. The record landed at #79 on the Billboard Top 200 and took the top spot on the Heatseekers Chart, spending 37 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 and going Gold with more than 650,000 units sold.
