AMON AMARTH 'THE ALLFATHER AWAKENS' LP on Odens Hunt Marbled Vinyl

LABEL: Metal Blade Records
RELEASE DATE: 10/02/2026
VARIANT: Odens Hunt Marbled Vinyl LP

The Allfather Awakens holds 10 songs, delivered by Amon Amarth with the riffs and unflinching aural power that have long been their signature. You get the epic tale of “Gjallarhorn” up first, followed by the battlefield story “Eight Legs of Thunder,” and then “Upphaf,” a translated stanza from the prophetic poem Völuspá and the band’s first-ever acoustic offering. The Swedish melodic death metallers approached songwriting differently this time — their 13th album since 1998’s Once Sent from the Golden Hall.

Sessions were split in two, months apart, at producer Jacob Hansen’s studio in Denmark. Songs got written while the band was touring, not after the tour ended. Spring 2025 covered the first session; the final recording was completed in March 2026.
