Calling the sixth Airbourne album a big record would be underselling it. The Australian four-piece named it after themselves, and Ryan reckons it bottles everything the band is about: "This record distils everything we stand for into one album. It's the best album that we could possibly make." Bombastic, beer-soaked and proud of it.

For the sessions they went back to producer Brian Howes, the man behind 2013's Black Dog Barking, and engineer Mike Fraser, who had already worked on 2016's Breakin' Outta Hell and 2010's No Guts. No Glory. The location was Music Farm Studio in "the jungle" outside Byron Bay, a place that happens to hold the original Neve console from Alberts Studios, the desk behind landmark early records by AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and The Angels.

Zakk Cervini (BMTH, Architects) mixed the finished thing. Drums that sound like canons, guitars that cut like buzzsaws, and a band captured right at the peak of its powers. Pressed on spinner vinyl.
