Not many bands in modern heavy music have climbed this fast, or landed this hard. Out of Stockholm, Sweden, the four-piece turned metallic hardcore, crushing grooves and nu-metal intensity into something heard worldwide, with more than 227 million streams on Spotify alone. Their 2022 debut EP EXTENDED PAIN is what put thrown on the map; it sat in Spotify's Global Metal Top 200 for close to a full year and now holds over 80 million Spotify streams. Tracks like "grayout," "fast forward" and "parasite" set the blueprint — short, explosive, relentlessly heavy, built on suffocating riffs and raw vocals. Debut album EXCESSIVE GUILT, out in August 2024 via Arising Empire, pushed that momentum further and passed 120 million Spotify streams. At its centre is "on the verge," the band's biggest song so far with almost 60 million streams, while "guilt" has gone past 25 million and "backfire" nears 20 million. Touring has taken thrown across Europe, North America and Australia alongside Knocked Loose, Fit For A King, Emmure, Counterparts, While She Sleeps and Wage War. The Heavy Music Awards handed them Best Breakthrough Live Artist in 2024, then Best Breakthrough Album for EXCESSIVE GUILT in 2025. A sophomore album, UNWANTED, is on the way, with "split," "rehearsed" and "critic" already stacking up millions of streams. Over 227 million Spotify streams, award-winning records and a live reputation built on stages around the world — thrown are past the promising stage. They've already arrived.
