The SteelDrivers' self-titled debut, pressed here as a 2008 20th 2010 LP on metallic silver vinyl, turned the Nashville group into a serious force. Chris Stapleton, then a Music Row songwriter and now a star in his own right, was at the helm.
Critics praised the record for blending blues, Americana and country into something contemporary, and it earned a GRAMMY nomination. Adele took notice too, covering "If It Hadn't Been For Love" on her 2010 LP, 21.
