LABEL: Young God Records
RELEASE DATE: 11/06/2026
VARIANT: Black Vinyl 4LP + DVD Box Set

Goodbye to this stellar version of Swans. Newly Sentient Being captures the band's last concert of the "Big Sound" era, recorded November 28, 2025 in Berlin, closing 15 years of cosmic sonic expressionism that swung between the heavenly and the debased. More than 2 ½ hours of music, plenty of it new material never recorded anywhere else, plus a full DVD of the performance. NSB belongs beside the best of Swans' legendary live records. Michael Gira offers his praise to the musicians who made that final foray real: Norman Westberg, Dana Schechter, Phil Puleo, Larry Mullins, Kristof Hahn, Christopher Pravdica... "and I was in there flailing somewhere too." 4xLP Gatefold + DVD
