JOE STRUMMER & THE MESCALEROS Global A Go-Go (25th Anniversary Edition 2026 UK/EU 11-track double album 2-LP pressed on Black Vinyl)
The second album by Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros, originally released in 2001. Strummer, the former Clash frontman, made it with his Mescaleros band at Battery Studios in Willesden, London. The record mixes rock, folk and reggae influences across its eleven songs.
'Johnny Appleseed' opened the album and was its only single. 'Mondo Bongo' and 'Bhindi Bhagee' are also among the best known songs from the Mescaleros years. Roger Daltrey of The Who, a longtime friend of Strummer, sings backing vocals on the title track.
