HOT MULLIGAN 'THE SOUND A BODY MAKES WHEN IT'S STILL' LP Blue Red Vinyl

Label: Wax Bodega
RELEASE Date: 11/06/2026
VARIANT: Red/Blue Vinyl LP

A ride-or-die testament to staying true to yourself, Hot Mulligan started out as an emo band in 2014, cutting their teeth at house shows and naming songs by closing their eyes and typing into autocorrect on their phones. Nobody expected thousand-cap sellouts a decade on, yet here they are, among the most respected acts in their scene. Fourth LP The Sound a Body Makes When It's Still finds them exactly there. Call them the #1 Hot New Band, eleven years running, just ask them, and still ready to keep fighting the good fight. Fear lives and breathes all over this album, blistering choruses sitting right next to the most vulnerable moments the band has ever laid to tape. Still a Hot Mulligan record, though. Which means it rocks. Longtime producer Brett Romnes worked a masterclass with them here: fight-or-flight hooks grab you first, then the little nuances and connective tissue make this their most cohesive album yet.
