Forbidden FORBIDDEN ‘FORBIDDEN’ 2LP Black Vinyl Bay Area Thrash

Label: BLKIIBLK // FRONTIERS LABEL GROUP
Release Date: 10/23/2026
Variant: Black Vinyl 2LP

FORBIDDEN built its name as the youngest, hungriest and most ambitious of the Bay Area brethren that launched metal paradigm-shifters from Metallica to Machine Head. Guitarist Craig Locicero and bassist Matt Camacho regrouped with a reconstituted lineup and came back with an hour-plus record of thrashy predilection, emotive musical movements, and prog-scraping sonic ambitions. Opening track “Single Point Failure” hits hard; the 9-minute closer “Flower of Life” turns philosophical. This is FORBIDDEN stretching well past the steely foundations of 1988’s classic Forbidden Evil and the quantum leap of 1990’s Twisted Into Form — a band with a new sense of scope and purpose. Zach Ohren (Machine Head) produced. For a quintet whose membership has included players from Machine Head, Voivod and Imagika, this isn’t just a revival: it’s a full-blown reinvigoration and a purgative endpoint for this Bay Area metal institution.
