Hailing from San Jose, California, No Use for a Name mixed skate-punk speed with pop melodies you don't forget. The group started as a late-80s hardcore act and became one of the pillars of the 90s punk explosion, building a following through constant international touring. Comparisons to Lagwagon, Millencolin, and Strung Out make sense: fast arrangements, harmonies, and lyrics about alienation, broken relationships, and daily life. 'Making Friends' is where that sound comes together.
