Ciarán has spent more than ten years as one of modern music's more intriguing and hard-to-pin-down voices. Most people know him as Bearface, the vocalist, songwriter and producer in BROCKHAMPTON, who split in 2022; his work there shaped some of the group's most emotionally resonant moments and built a devoted global following. Róisín is his debut solo album, and it sits in the tension between softness and strength, beauty and brutality. Made between New York and writing sessions with close friends, the LP pairs delicate melodies with distorted textures, warped production and abrupt shifts in sound. Here's an artist trying things out and stepping away from expectation.
